MEET SAMUEL GREEN

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samuel Green. Being engulfed with music his whole life, Green’s natural talent kicked in around the age of seven, while singing within the church. The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. As a child, he grew up listening to artists such as Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Al Green, Anita Baker, and many more. He began pursuing his aspiration of being a singer/songwriter in high school.

As his confidence grew and his style developed, he soon saw a loyal following begin to grow and he’s now performing in various venues and continuously puts out music to showcase his talent.

He owes all his thanks to God and the many opportunities that have been given to bring entertainment and joy to others. He looks forward to having a greater impact in the music industry through the release of his upcoming projects. Stay tuned to see what Samuel Green brings next!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I wish that I could say it has been; somethings have come easier than others. When I first started my solo career a few years ago, I lost my hero to cancer (Grandfather). Losing him changed a lot of things as well as the way I viewed my life. I also battled with staying in school getting a degree than just dropping out and doing my music full time. But after my grandfather passed away a couple of years later, my dad got diagnosed with cancer. So, emotionally, this ride has been a roller-coaster.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
So, yes, I am an artist but I also am a songwriter. I recently received some great opportunities that can possibly skyrocket my career; which I am extremely excited about. I am most known for being the r&b/pop artist that I am. I am extremely proud of myself as an entrepreneur for starting my own LLC and sticking to it no matter what challenges come my way. I see myself apart from others because I don’t just see myself as an artist but a mentor and storyteller. I believe because of the transparency I connect with so many people through my struggles, heartaches, ups and downs, good times, and love. I am here for the people; for those who feel that they are the only ones who aren’t perfect that they are not alone.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Success is not something you get, it’s something you constantly build on. There are so many levels to success and I feel that you can never conquer success but its continuously rewarding. Consistency, dedication, believing in self even when no one else does, allowing yourself to understand all aspects of business, and staying true to who you are because everything fake will come back to haunt you.
